The fishing continues to be solid at the salty pond, with good numbers of fish cruising the shorelines. Pick your favorite beach and be ready for an opportunity at a high-teen to 20lber. There have been significantly more big fish caught this season than last. Indicator nymphing with Balanced Leeches and Chironomids are producing the most consistent right now, but stripping Popcorn Beetles, Midnight Cowboys, or Pyramid Minnows will produce if you are willing to put in the time to strip. The fishing should continue to remain steady as we move into February.
Hot Flies:
• Pyramid Beach Leech - #8
• Zack's Cut Bait Midge
• Rich's Moo-Midge - #8
• Mahalo Nymphs
• Popcorn Beetle
• Midnight Cowboy
• Zack's Pyramid Minnow
