Crappie were the best bet at Buena Vista, and anglers landed quality slabs on small swimbaits and other finesse presentations. Those using forward facing sonar located schools before hooking up with live minnows and minijigs. Trout anglers reported slow fishing and waited on the next plant of rainbows, though dough baits, spoons, tube baits, and small jigs produced some fish the previous week. Bass anglers threw drop shot rigs, Senkos, and deep diving crankbaits to entice bites, and catfish anglers used chicken liver, cut baits, and dip bait to catch smaller grade whiskerfish.
