April 16: Wall Canyon Reservoir in Northern Washoe County: 1,502 rainbow trout, 8.9 inches in length.

April 18: East Walker River in Lyon County: 2,148 rainbows, 8.9 inches.

April 19: Cave Rock Landing at Lake Tahoe: 3,340 rainbows, 9.1 inches.

April 19: Carson River near Dayton: 2,001 rainbows, 9.1 inches.

April 19: East Carson River in Douglas County: 3,004 rainbows, 9.5 inches.

April 19: Carson River near Dayton: 999 rainbows, 9.5 inches.

April 24: Squaw Creek Reservoir in Northern Washoe County: 2,004 rainbows, 9.8 inches.

April 24: Boulder Reservoir in Northern Washoe County: 1,200 rainbows, 10.0 inches.

April 26: Mountain View Park in Yerington: 551 rainbows, 11.6 inches.

The second Saturday in May of each year (May 12 this year) is the opening day of the fishing season at Big Springs Reservoir, located in northern Humboldt County. That 2007-2008 season will run through the last day of February next year. The limit is five trout. Fishing hours are any time of the day or night.
