May 24: American Flat Creek in Storey County, near Virginia City: 401 rainbow trout, 9.3 inches in length.

May 24: Desert Creek in Douglas County: 1,001 rainbows, 9.3 inches.

May 23: Carson River, east of Carson City: 1,501 rainbows, 9.5 inches.

May 23: Sand Harbor at northeast Lake Tahoe: 3,341 rainbows, 9.8 inches.

May 22: Knott Creek Reservoir in northern Humboldt County: 1,806 Tiger Trout, 10.2 inches.

May 22: Knott Creek Reservoir in Humboldt County: 1.398 Tiger Trout, 10.2 inches.

May 21: Truckee River in Washoe County: 5,609 Cutthroat Trout, 9.7 inches.

Eagle Lake in Northern California opened its 2007 fishing season on Saturday, May 26. That season closes on Dec. 31. The limit is two fish per day or four in possession.
