The recent cold temperatures have left a little ice around the edges where the water meets the shore, but the rest of the pond is open water. Anglers report slow fishing. The water near the inlet is still clear enough that you can see fish swimming. On Feb. 23, one angler had fair success catching trout near the inlet using a pink San Juan worm during the day, then switching to a blue-winged olive in the late afternoon and evening as the sun started to set. The pond stocked with 2,000 nine-inch trout on Feb. 9.
