Fall goes to about December (almost) on this creek, thanks to the moderating influence of its spring-fed origin.?? When the BWO's have petered out on the Yak, there's still a few weeks of daily activity to look forward to out here.?? Before and after the hatch (even during), midges are another emergence to be prepared to capitalize on.?? Elstwise, midge larvae, scuds, leeches and buggers and tiny mayfly nymphs are worth offering to opportunistically feeding fish.

Although the Caddis bonanza is tapering off, it's still wise to keep a few stacked in your box. The saddle Caddis is small in size and best imitated with an Elk Hair Caddis in olive or the E/C Caddis # 16-20.?? The Pupa will hatch throughout the day with the majority hatching at dusk.
