The fishing has been fair and appears to be ramping up in the current dry spell (weather). Most of what's being caught is rainbow trout. A few catfish were pulled out of the lake this month as well.

Merry Christmass everyone I’m writing this a day early because we will be closed tomorrow for Christmas. Due to the rain the lake has risen almost 6 inches. Mt Lassen planted 1000 pounds of trout at the public launch. Water temperature is still around 50 degrees. Trout are eating all over the lake and that’s the only species caught this week.
