The Siskyou Mountains Ranger Distric has implemented a complete Ranger District Emergency Fire Closure. Essentially all lands surrounding Applegate reservoir are closed to vehicle and foot traffic, so this would apply to fishing in the Applegate Reservoir, Squaw Lakes, and Miller, Bolinn and Tannen lakes, and tributaries above Applegate Reservoir, as well.  Check the website or call the Rogue River Siskiyou National Forest 541-618-2200 or the STAR ranger district.

The reservoir is 27 percent full with an elevation of 1,915.9 ft. Reservoir operations, elevations and boat ramp levels can be viewed by hovering over icons on the US Army Corps Rogue Basin Teacup webpage

The USFS had already closed Hart-tish boat ramp for the season due to low water. Copper ramp becomes unusable around 1920 feet elevation, so the best bet is French Gulch for the rest of the year whenever the area closures are lifted
