Fishing conditions on the Truckee River are good right now. Flows are still great out of Lake Tahoe with water temperatures at about 63 degrees in the morning and getting to around 66 during the day. As the days stay hot, anglers should pay attention to the water temperatures to make sure they are not harming the fish. Some recommended flies right now include tan, black, and olive caddis size 14-16, pale morning duns in the evening and morning, and green drake nymphs. Streamer fishing is doing great as well as tight-line and indicator nymphing. Dry fly fishing is doing best around the glenshire area as the water is slower and easier to predict where the fish will rise. It is catch and release from Trout Creek to Prosser Creek and Prosser Creek to Stateline. The only difference between the two sections is that Trout Creek to Prosser Creek is fly only.

FLOWS: Tahoe City 370 CFS, Glenshire 377 CFS, and Farad Exit 497 CFS
