Success Lake fell to 15 percent of capacity, and the topwater bite remained solid for anglers getting to the lake early enough. Most of the bass have been holding tight to the trees and submerged structure, and anglers got their attention with crankbaits, Senkos, and finesse baits. The trees and main lake points have been the best places to look for bass. Catfish ate Triple S Dip Bait, cut sardines, and chicken liver, and crappie fell for small live minnows and minijigs near the marina.
