The lake rose significantly rose to 26 percent of capacity, and fishing has been good for anglers willing to fish deeper in the water column. Neko rigs, Ned rigs, and darter head grubs all fooled spotted bass in the 20 to 40 foot zone. Deeper bass went for ice jigs and spoons. White bass bit vertical spoons and in-line spinners in deeper water. Catfish anglers soaked cut sardines, chicken liver, and dip bait for some decent catches with whisker-fish to 10 pounds being reported. Crappie are schooled up in deeper water, and anglers who locate a school can fill the boat with minijigs and small swimbaits.
