Crane Prairie has been fishing fair. We heard reports of a good morning bite but slower fishing after about 10am. Fish were taken on balanced leeches, chironomids, balanced assassins, and two bits. This time of year the fish are spread out so covering water to find them is a good idea. Stripping leeches, water boatmen, and crayfish is also effective and a good searching tactic. The midges are still hatching and you can expect them to be all over you and your boat on days without much wind. Buffs and bug nets can help them be less of a nuisance.
