The Upper Deschutes is still fishing great, with a lot of our regulars heading out there. Get out there while you still can before it closes for the season! Nymphing still remains the best option out there and we recommend trying out some euro techniques if you're fishing the woody narrow sections above Wickiup. Moving water and deeper pools should be where you put most of your attention, but if you're looking for some top water action try a dry-dropper setup so you still have the possibility of sub-surface takes. clarks stones and hoppers will work well with something like a jigged pheasant tail or hares ear below. Sculpzillas, dungeons, and bunny busters are great bets if you want to target some browns.
