The lake remained near 58 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures fell into the mid to low seventies. Spotted bass and white bass fishing has been excellent for anglers throwing shad imitation baits. Bass anglers threw Whopper Ploppers, poppers, and walking baits early and late in the day with excellent results. One local angler boated well over 100 fish in a single session while throwing white Flukes in 10 to 15 feet of water. The usual finesse baits took bass in 10 to 25 feet of water with Hologram Shad, Green Pumpkin, and Prizm Shad working for bites. Crappie were decent for anglers suspending small live minnows under a slip bobber set between 10 and 20 feet deep. Look for crappie holding over submerged structure. Catfish anglers found biting fish while soaking cut mackerel, sardines, and dip bait.
