The Crooked is still dealing with significant runoff from the Ochocos, and conditions aren’t looking great in the short term. With heavy rain accelerating the melt, it’s likely going to take another 10-20 days before things settle down. If this pattern continues, mid-March could bring prime Blue Wing Olive hatches and more favorable flows. Until then, it’s best to hold off and focus on the spring creeks.
