Fishing seasons to close for 2007

Anglers are reminded that a number of local fishing seasons will be closing on Sept. 30 for the year 2007.

They are:

Fort Churchill Cooling Ponds, located in Lyon County. They will re-open on the second Saturday in February.

Hinkson Slough, plus Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and North Ponds and that portion of the Walker River within the Mason Valley Wildlife Management Area, all located in Lyon County. They will re-open on the second Saturday in February.

Hobart Reservoir, which is located in the mountains between Carson City and Lake Tahoe. It will re-open May 1.

Marlette Lake, which is located in the mountains between Carson City and Lake Tahoe. It will re-open July 15.

Topaz Lake, located along U.S. 395 on the Nevada-California stateline, south of Carson City. It will re-open Jan. 1.
