Fishing was amazing for aqueduct anglers last week with numerous striper over 10 pounds reported. A couple of striper near 30 pounds also hit the scales. Anglers used cut baits to land most of the huge line sides, but jumbo live shiners and swimbaits also scored some amazing fish. Walking topwater lures and jerkbaits have also been effective lately for both largemouth and striper. Bass anglers reported getting into incredible topwater action when the bass push shad schools up to the surface. Otherwise, bass anglers have been using drop shot, Senkos, and jerkbaits for bites. Catfish anglers landed some heft fish while using dip bait, chicken liver, and cut sardines.
