At Donner Lake, shore and boat access are both available to anglers. With the lake being recently stocked, the fishing has picked up. For shore anglers at Donner Lake, focus near the boat ramps and west-end docks using power bait and worms. Anglers trolling for lake trout here are having success catching smaller-size macks in the 80-foot water column. Some larger macks may appear here soon due to the freshly planted trout. Anglers trolling for Kokanee at Donner Lake are doing well in the 30-foot water column. Donner Lake is currently at 91% capacity.
