The lake held near 92 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was good. Bass anglers caught a few in the mornings while throwing poppers and walking baits. Senko style baits, drop shot, and shaky heads worked for bites in 10 to 25 feet of water with Aaron’s Magic, purple, and green pumpkin fooling fish. Bluff walls seemed to be the best place to look for bites. Striped bass anglers used topwater lures, umbrella rigs and cut baits to land plenty of two-pound fish, and catfish anglers did well while soaking cut mackerel, sardines, and chicken liver.
