The lake fell to 63 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was decent. Most anglers probed the 10-to-20-foot zone with drop shot, Ned rigs, and shaky heads for good numbers of smaller grade bass. Topwater poppers and walking baits fooled fish at first light and in the evenings. Catfish slurped up dip bait, cut mackerel, and chicken liver on the Carolina rig, and crappie took minijigs and live minnows in 10 to 20 feet of water.
