Isabella Lake held at 27 percent of its storage capacity and the water temps are 50 to 55-degrees. Fish are in 15 to 25-feet of water and were seeing better quality bass show the last couple weeks. Our sources have been scoring fish with dark jigs, crawdad crankbaits and swimbaits at Rocky Point, Piney Point and Engineer Point. Anglers have also fooled some throwing underspins with white Keitech trailers. Crappie have scattered and are a little more difficult to find. The only reports on crappie were out of French Gulch with live minnows last week. A few catfish were taken at Piney Point this week on cut mackerel. Trout can be caught with garlic scented baits, spinners, mice tails and worms. Boaters can find them trolling leadcore with needlefish, Tasmanian devils, and flicker shad around the dam.
